It was the first time the Men’s Softball World Championship took place in our homeland, the Czech Republic and that’s why we couldn’t miss it. We were broadcasting from two different locations at the same time – from Svoboda Park in Prague and Hippos Arena in the city of Havlíčkův Brod, around 120km southeast of Prague.
We were using the WBSC YouTube channel for the streaming and some of the games were also broadcasted live on Czech national Television, mostly when the Czech team was playing.
In both fields, in Prague as well as in Havlíčkův Brod, we used the same set-up of seven cameras. Our crew had to manage to shoot all matches (4 per day, 12 days in a row), sometimes in very difficult weather conditions (the middle of a hot sunny summer, accompanied by the occasional heavy downpour).
You can see every game from both venues on our Playo.tv portal.
