Austria

2024 - 2026

Since 2024, PLAYO Production has been providing regular live broadcast production for major combat sports events in Austria as part of our long-term cooperation with Sportradar.

The project began with Vendetta Fight Nights, one of Austria’s established combat sports series. Since Vendetta Fight Nights 41, our team has produced the events on a regular basis, continuing through the milestone Vendetta Fight Nights 50 in March 2026.

Vendetta combines several combat sports within a single event, including MMA, K-1, K-1 Extreme and bare-knuckle boxing. This requires a flexible broadcast workflow capable of covering very different fighting styles while maintaining consistent production quality throughout a long fight card.

Our cooperation later expanded to the Xtreme Combat Championship (XCC). Starting with XCC2 in 2025, PLAYO Production provided broadcast production for XCC2, XCC3, XCC4 and XCC5, covering the continued development of the series across different venues and event formats.

In June 2026, our combat sports production expanded further with the 18th Bounce Fight Night, a major professional boxing event staged open-air at the Wiener Heumarkt. The event was broadcast live on ORF SPORT+ and was followed the next day by XCC5: Fight City at the same location, creating two consecutive days of live combat sports production in the centre of Vienna.

Across Vendetta, XCC and boxing productions, PLAYO Production provides the complete on-site broadcast workflow, including multi-camera coverage, live directing, instant replay, television graphics, audio production, commentary integration and delivery of the final programme feed.

Each format presents different production requirements. Cage events require close and dynamic camera coverage of MMA, K-1 and bare-knuckle fights, while traditional boxing uses a ring-based camera layout and a different visual language. Arena productions must also be adapted to large audiences, lighting and entertainment elements, while open-air events bring additional technical and logistical challenges.

The recurring nature of these productions requires our crew and technical setup to be highly efficient and consistent. Equipment is deployed, tested and operated within tight event schedules, often with changing venue layouts, camera positions and production requirements.

From regular Vendetta Fight Nights to the growing XCC series and televised professional boxing, our cooperation with Sportradar has developed into one of PLAYO Production’s most extensive recurring combat sports projects in Austria.
