The FIBA U20 Women’s European Championship brought 16 of Europe’s top national teams to Sopron, Hungary, for nine days of international basketball.
The tournament also marked the return of FIBA youth championships after a three-year interruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and continued PLAYO Production’s long-standing cooperation with FIBA.
PLAYO Production was responsible for the live broadcast production of the championship, operating simultaneously from two competition courts throughout the tournament.
Two independent production setups and crews provided continuous multi-camera coverage of the games, including live directing, instant replay, graphics, audio production and delivery of the final broadcast feed.
Over nine days of competition, a total of 56 games were produced, from the opening group-stage matches through to the final between Spain and the Czech Republic.
The project once again demonstrated our ability to deliver complete multi-venue broadcast production for major international basketball tournaments with multiple games running in parallel.
