The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Challenge League A brought six national teams to Jersey for an eleven-day international cricket tournament, forming part of the qualification pathway towards the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027.
The competition featured Jersey, Denmark, Kenya, Kuwait, Papua New Guinea and Qatar, with matches played across two cricket grounds — the National Cricket Centre at Grainville and Farmers Field in St Martin.
PLAYO Production was responsible for live broadcast coverage from both venues, deploying two production setups to accommodate the tournament’s parallel match schedule.
Transporting our broadcast equipment to Jersey required careful logistical planning, including ferry transportation to the island. Once on site, our team established the technical infrastructure at both grounds, adapting the camera positions and production facilities to the specific conditions of each venue.
With matches played in the 50-over format, the production involved extended broadcast days and required both systems to remain operational throughout lengthy periods of continuous live coverage.
Our broadcast services included multi-camera production, live directing, instant replay, television graphics, audio and integration of live match data, with the final programme feeds delivered for international distribution through ICC platforms.
The tournament continued PLAYO Production’s cooperation with the International Cricket Council (ICC), which began the previous year, further expanding our experience in delivering international cricket broadcasts across different venues and countries.
