The summer of 2021 became one of the busiest softball seasons for PLAYO Production, with a series of national and international tournaments taking place across the Czech Republic.
Throughout the season, our crews provided live broadcast production from several of the country’s leading softball venues, including Ledenice, Sezimovo Ústí, Hippos Arena in Havlíčkův Brod and Svoboda Park in Prague.
The programme included the Men’s Softball European Championship in Ledenice and Sezimovo Ústí, the U18 and U16 Men’s European Championships in Havlíčkův Brod, the U18 Women’s European Championship in Prague, as well as broadcasts from the Czech Men’s and Women’s Extra Leagues.
PLAYO Production provided multi-camera live coverage throughout the season, including live directing, instant replay, graphics, audio production and delivery of the final programme feeds.
The broadcasts were distributed through WBSC and Czech Softball digital platforms, while selected games were also broadcast by Czech Television.
Covering several championships and league competitions over the course of one summer further strengthened our long-term involvement in European softball and our experience with multi-day tournament production.
